Only two more days to the challenge and I have LOVED every minute of it. I learned a lot from watching other people's work, but also from forcing myself to stick to one subject and keep doing it regardless if I was happy with the results or not. What I am most happy about is that now I HAVE to paint every day. It is like taking my vitamins, it makes me feel good. It keeps me questioning what I am doing and looking at when I am pushing myself to learn and when I am just having fun.
My goal is to continue growing and becoming a better and more interesting artist (to at least some of my followers and myself - of course). I love the feeling of brush on canvas, or paper, or wood and who knows what else. I love learning how to mix colors, learning how to use too few or too many or just enough. I know I am in this for the long haul and this is how I make my living so enjoying the process is critical to me!
And the BEST BEST part of this challenge has been that my creative juices and curiosity are awakened and I want to try so many other ideas out. If I could (and didn't need friends, food or playtime with the dogs)I would spend my entire day in my studio and just create. I would dance and sit up straight and work until my brush falls out of my hand and my head drops in my favorite tint of mint green ( very restful color). And I would get up and start again.
Sadly, I have learned about balance over the past few decades, so I will just enoy the times I work. And hope you enjoy some of the results!
