Gratitude

This morning as I was reflecting upon the day ahead of me, I started to wonder about the meaning and origins of the word "grateful".   It comes from Latin origins meaning pleasing + full.

Then I thought about how it is to be "great + full".  Which lead to me thinking that grateful makes me feel great and full which is really "great fuel".  The more grateful I am the more fuel I have to be pleasing to both others and my self.  And that, to me is what makes for a great and full life!

This quote by John F. Kennedy embodies what I feel like today.  "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."

Now I am off to have a great and full day running errands, painting and walking the dogs somewhere new!
